Monique Levesque- Legault
Monique Levesque is a Registered Massage Therapist who graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 1997. She specializes in deep tissue massage, myofascial release (Jenkins Method), scar tissue work, pain management, post-operative recovery, and visceral techniques. She also provides manual lymphatic drainage to support healing and circulation.
Monique enjoys working on more challenging cases—those that others may have given up on. This pursuit has guided her to do a significant amount of research to better support her clients and help them achieve optimal results.
For a more well-rounded approach to healing, Monique was fortunate early in her career to have several mentors take her under their wing. In Northern Ontario, Gladice Gray introduced her to traditional teachings, including the use of crystals and medicinal plants. She also studied the principles of energy work through the teachings of Choa Kok Sui and Pranic Healing.
Over the years, Monique has taken many additional courses to enhance her skills. In 2009 and 2010, she completed training in Access Bars through Access Consciousness. This modality involves gently touching 32 points on the head to support relaxation and help release patterns of stress, thoughts, and emotional tension.
Some of her more recent training includes shockwave therapy, therapeutic laser, ultrasound, hot stone therapy, and the use of essential oils to support both healing and relaxation.
With decades of experience, Monique focuses on helping clients reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore function through personalized, results-driven treatments.
Originally from Sudbury, Monique moved to Barrie in the fall of 2007. She worked at Barrie Core Wellness for 2½ years, followed by 3 years at Whole Body Basic. She then owned and operated Barrie Massage Healing on Essa Road for 11 years and later continued her practice at Adams Massage Therapy & Laser MediSpa.
